The last time you opened Finder, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows

I'm getting this error whenever I start or restart my MacBook. I've tried everything suggested on Apple Support.

Any ideas how I can fix this issue? It's so annoying!

Try holding the shift key at boot to go to safe mode. That will bypass any login or startup items that may be causing a conflict. If the problem goes away in safe mode, then you need to start looking for login or startup items causing the problem.

Hi, I just bought a new macbook pro retina 13, yosemite, almost every time I turn on the laptop, it appears a pop up :

"The last time you opened Finder, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?"

Any solution?

I get the same problem, I entered the safe mode, but the pop up still appeared. any idea??

Why are you posting here? You have full apple care for a month take the junk program back to the store...

Try when you logoff to uncheck the box that says to restart apps when you login again. I wonder if you have an app launching from that that is causing the Finder crash.

Anything in Console log from that date/time that provides any clues?

This reply was totally uncalled for, there is an old saying...
"If you can't say something nice, (or helpfull), then better to say nothing at all!

The OP is looking for help, which is what this forum exists for, it is not always easy or quick to "take it back to the store" as you so eloquently suggested.

Confirm you tried a safe mode boot I mentioned earlier, and it still does it then? Did you look in Console look for error messages that might help?

Hi when I try to find the solution of the finder that crash when the macbook starts up, I realised there is a small stratch on my macbook, I am sure the stratch was already there when I opened the macbook from the box, should I just return it? This ia my second replacement. Any idea? And I am still in 14 days return policy
