Isn’t the point of a Lock Screen, it’s meant to be locked. I’ve accidentally gone into edit mode while holding my phone….just saying!
You can't edit the lock screen while the phone is locked. Seems like all you people don't really lock your iPhones. 😆Thats a stuff which also concerns me. Every launcher in Android has this a lock to prevent edit.
Lock should be removed only when I.e. you enter Home Screen and press something to edit Lock Screen.
Looks like Apple decided to make editing Lock Screen the worst way and do it only on Lock Screen when device is unlocked.
I don’t believe their testers has not found that’s a not correct behavior as it’s triggering unwanted edits. That’s critical bug / behavior of system 🐛
If somehow phone change stuff in pocket / have screen issues you will have difficult enter Home Screen due to opening damn edit mode all the time.
So your iPhones wasn't actually locked in the end, because you unlocked it with Face ID and didn't lock it again with the sleep/wake button. That’s right, but if you have Face ID, and you unlock the phone and then keep finger or fingers on screen then it will unlock (current currect behavior).
I had this unwanted edit several times when out of sudden had to grab phone when unlocked on lockscreen when had to move myself a bit in public transport handling phone onehanded
I am not sure how it will work in pocket when you have Apple Watch nearby, so came with this idea.
Obviously it’s unlocked, unintentionally, but still I think this needs to addressed…because it’s an annoyance. So your iPhones wasn't actually locked in the end, because you unlocked it with Face ID and didn't lock it again with the sleep/wake button.
I can't think about any realistic scenario, where someone would hold an iPhone unintentionally to his face. 🤔Obviously it’s unlocked, unintentionally, but still I think this needs to addressed…because it’s an annoyance.
I think the clue is in the phrase..unintentionally!I can't think about any realistic scenario, where someone would hold an iPhone unintentionally to his face. 🤔
Well there you go…..🙄Come to think about it: Sometimes I'm just sitting there minding my own business and BAM!! ... unintentionally iPhone in my face.
I was just coming on for this! I have Always on Display off, but Raise to Wake on so when I am walking with my phone in my hand, it activates to customize the screen. The sensitivity is a little too sensitive and annoys me since I have been engaging it all day.Isn’t the point of a Lock Screen, it’s meant to be locked. Sometimes when I am holding my phone and it is facing up (I have even had it happen at a slight slant), it will unlock if it catches my face correctly. I do not even have to be looking right at it. This used to happen all the time before I upgraded phones.I can't think about any realistic scenario, where someone would hold an iPhone unintentionally to his face. 🤔
There should be! I think the old way to customize was fine, but it seems they want people to focus more on it so make it easier. It definitely needs to be looked at by Apple though.Personally I think it should be something you change in the settings exclusively.
But can you think of any realistic scenario where FaceId would unlock the phone even if you weren't holding it to your face?I can't think about any realistic scenario, where someone would hold an iPhone unintentionally to his face. 🤔
I'm not sure what you mean. The volume buttons work when my phone is locked and playing music. I don't even have to turn the screen on, let alone unlock it.While we’re on the subject, been meaning to post for a while, I do find it slightly annoying you can’t adjust the volume for anything playing while in the lock screen.
