Alright, this is starting to get a wee bit irritating having to tap the trackpad after the screen goes dim from just 5 minutes of inactivity.

Well, if I'm running an Install CD or something I'm not going to need to touch it.
It would be nice to be able to look at the progress bar with a fully lit screen.

Try changing the energy saver settings, I have the same problem so went and fiddled around with the energy settings, and I don't *think* i have the problem anymore, or if I do, I don't notice anymore:D Hope that helps

Energy Saver

Go to the Energy Saver settings in Preferences and select the Options tab. There's an option under there to 'Automatically reduce brightness of display before sleep'. Turn this off and it should do the trick.
