Publication is tomorrow:
After Steve: How Apple Became a Trillion-Dollar Company and Lost Its Soul
Mickle has published an essay, adapted from his book, in the NY Times (paywall):
How Technocrats Triumphed at Apple
The man who helped give the world candy-colored computers eventually walked out the door. What does that mean for the company’s next big thing?
I think that Mickle's NY Times piece provides helpful context for a discussion about the Mac Studio. Personally, I'm ambivalent about the design. Jony Ive still works as a consultant for Apple, but I doubt that he had much input on this line of computers.
