On campus, my friend's MBP (last year's model) gets the same if not worse wireless signal.

We always study at this one particular location with low wireless signal and on occasion I do drop signal completely but most of the time it holds steady. Slow but steady :p

Just wanted to let you guys know in case you thought the wifi card wasn't up to par :)
Oh, this is 802.11g and I'm running on battery the entire time.

I love my MBA :D

The Airport cards in Macs are very sensitive. My Blackbook gets a signal in the furthest reaches of my house. I've yet to see a non-Apple computer get signal there. If only the same could be said about iDevices.

I'm noticing the opposite - the 11" 2010 MBA has worse reception on 5 GHz than the 2009 model. The reception on 2.4 GHz is fine.
