People are often saying, these forums or saturated with negative feedback from things like mpb or other computers, and not enough is said about the good experiences. Well, I am happy to say that the macbook pro is may favorite computer purchase ever!
Zero problems, extremely fast, elegant, this is my first mac btw ;)!
Some of you may recall that I posted that these run really hot, well i got used to it, and it only gets really hot when i do hardcore stuff with it. The extreme benifits of this computer out weigh the minor heat issue. Anyone who is nervous about this large purchase, be reassured that you will most likley fall in love with it like me. hahahha im a geek, a mac geek now.

It is always nice to hear from someone with positive feedback, but negative comments will typically outpace those like yours because people are far more vocal when experiencing problems. Even when messages tend to be negative, such as after the introductions the other day, it serves a good purpose in that Apple needs to be reminded that not every item they release meets the standard of being a knockout or innovative design.

It's my second favorite. My favorite is probably still my old NeXT cube, circa 1993. What a great machine that was...

Pardon me for asking but which mbp did you order?

I like hearing the positive feedback as well. Not every fricken release day is going to contain video iPods and quad processor PowerMacs.....

Why cant people realize that? This was just a media event too. If it was MacWorld or WWDC, or Paris or something big I could see the complaining.... but please! Apple said that all their models will be swtiched by Jan 1 2007, this is one of their models. Don't be disappointed that there weren't intel iBooks or PowerMacs, they will be hear by the end of the year (hopefully!). I just don't see the point of this complaining..... the products you want will be here very shortly.....

However, I must say that the iPod leather case is just plain crazy. $99? I think I remember reading someone posting, "what was Steve smoking?" That is exactly my reaction. That thing is going to flop harder than the Cube!

Well since were all singing praises here. My ibook has never givin me any problems. No "heat issue", warping, cracking, ect. This thing rocks what more can i say. ::walks back into cave::

my 15" 1.33 powerbook is my favorite computer ever...too bad it belongs to my wife :D

i can't wait until next year when i get my "own" lappy (MBP). i can't wait to encode video with a core duo!!

hardcore like running ppc code on rosetta?? ;)

HAHAHA, not not realy, but **** rostetta anyways, i wish everything was UB.
I notice it gets hot when you are doing continous tasks like ripping DVDS while copying files over a network, If i closed the lid, I could make brekfest ontop of my MBP if i wanted to.

It's nice to hear a positive vibe coming for a MBP owner. Mine will be arriving sometime this month (3/14 ship date) and I'm starting to get a little teeny weeny bit anxious about it, especially after all the whining.

Hope everything continues to go well with your new comp. Enjoy!:D

While it's good to let apple know what customers want, it's unrealistic to expect "being a knockout" or "innovative design" as a standard in every product release. Every company releases supposed "flops". The real measure is to wait for the market to decide.

The thing I think you're missing is that high-end iPod cases have already proven to be a profitable market. It is foolish to think that this is going to be a "flop". If the product is well-made, and Apple gets the message out to the appropriate consumers, I believe this will make Apple a significant amount of profit and satisfy customers. You may be unable to see this, but Steve and Apple executives can.

I'm surprised anyone could hear the MBP "whine" over the MBP owners' whining.

My MBP is also perfect. No whinning and perfect screen. It was a huge hit at work with everyone. The iSight camera, Front Row, Photo Booth, and a few random programs preinstalled like the one that builds comics. Two people at work are buying Intel iMacs now. I am a proud owner of both a Rev A MBP and Rev A Powermac G5.

I have 2 GBs of memory on this thing. My ears hurt, this machine screams!

Can you post a link to the program you have that builds comics? Sounds interesting ;)
