Right, we must be close to the first ones shipping (maybe not)... at least the UK guys should be getting updates to their estimated shipping dates.

So are we keen for a thread to log the arrival dates of these things...

I for one am at the end of c distributor chain so I am not expecting it until early March

Anyone in the UK had an update yet?

The early ship dates were pushed back to the 10th last I heard. Hopefully this doesn't translate into a delay for those of us (me included) that have the 15th as the scheduled ship date.

I hope not... My PB Auction ends Saturday on eBay, and was hoping to ship this out on Wednesday the 15th, when the new one was shipped so I wouldn't be without one for long.

Should I end my auction now and relist it once I know the MBP has been shipped?

All the reps I've spoken too, seem to have the 15th implanted into their heads. They seem very confident.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Do we really need yet another thread discussing MacBook Pro shipping dates? (especially as you started this one just yesterday)

I wanted a thread that would allow people to discuss it and did not want it limited to the UK.. if nobody wants it, won't it just die and go to the end of the page and beyond.

Edit: also, today was the date that the UK was supposed to ship and so I was just wondering.

Yea we know it is shipping on the 15th

How about the official I have received my Macbook Pro Thread

I am happy you have elected to be a revision A tester for us. but I really don't care about shipment of these computers

Lets start a useful thread like: I received my macbook pro and here is what I think thread + bench marks... official thread

I love my powerbook but hate the fact it is so freaking slow when compaired to my roommates 3.0 Ghz Dell.

Peace

Hm.. from what I heard about people calling the Apple Store yesterday was that the guys there basically guaranteed shipment by the day that was posted on the website. I hope I'm wrong, but it just makes me think about possible issues with the MacBook Pro, either supply or quality.

This is the flagship bunch of the Intel Chips. They would recieve such bad PR if they were bad computers. So I really doubt that they will screw them up. I think that Apple is going to do everything in there power to make sure that these are the best ever.

Oh, and to the 3.0 Dell comment. Had one, would have traded it for a PB any day of the week. It was fast at some things like...I will come up with one. And it was bad at, photo editing, music, video, encoding, games...crap I am running out of time. Scratch that fast at things. MS XP Pro blows and that is what it boils down to.

You don't have to be an a$$. I you don't care about those of us we are excited about recieving a new product that we have been looking forward to, DON'T READ THE THREAD. If you want you can even go to another board. I am tired of hearing these kinds of comments from people, especially about being "Rev. A" testers.

I checked on Dell's website yesterday to see what their shipping estimates were for their Core Duo Notebooks.

And they are pretty much right on par w/ Apple's. I don't see a reason why we should anticipate any further delays minus the ones that were scheduled to go out today.

I have to agree. I don't quite understand why people make these comments, unless it is to be supercilious, in which case I have no interest.

Anyway, it seems that the other threads are stating that the UK dates have been moved back to the 10th. I agree with the consesus that this is likely to be met or else apple would have moved the dates back further... so this thread may well be redundant for now...

not so new update

Welp, I think apple finally figured out its february and their macbook sales pages still listed February as the estimated ship. The pages have been updated to say shipping in 3-4 weeks, which i believe to be a good sign. If you take all of the estimated ship dates given to people by apple (the newly updated 10th being the earliest and i think the 28th to be the latest batch), then 3-4 weeks is a reasonable estimate as to the time it is going to take them to catch up production to all of the pre-orders. Keep your fingers crossed, but i think those 'books may be going out for real this time (on the 10th, maybe a few days after)

Just to confirm, the 28th was given to us late comers. Guess well be about 2 weeks behind everyone else.
