I am currently in Tampa, Florida, and went to the International Mall yesterday to check out the Macbooks. They are so amazing. The Macbook is so much faster than my HP laptop. I used many programs to test the speed out like photobooth, iTunes, and Word. Woah this baby is fast. The camera is really great quality. I thought the speakers were really high quality also. i listened to a few tunes and it sounded great. I also really love the new keyboard. It feels so much better than a standard keyboard. The screen is also beautiful. It is so bright and clear. I felt the left corner of the Macbook and it was indeed hot. It wasn't unbearable like most of you are saying. It wouldn't be a concern of mine. I stuck my head right next to two of the three machines and none of them were mooing or whining. I didnt even hear the fans! My favorite feature was the magnetic closing. It is so convenient. Finally, the colors. The white models looks just like the iBook but enlongated. I really liked the white. The black...wow. It looks amazing. Especially the white glowing apple against the black paint is well...hot. The only downside to the black: it most definitely chips. Right around the closing latch area, you could see silver underneath black paint. This is the reason the white impressed me more. Well i hoped this helped some people with their choices!
