I have been using my 13-inch iPad M4 for 3 days, and today when I was watching this video, the screen bulged inwards when the person in the clip pressed down in the middle. I checked my iPad and found it has the same issue. There is also a video from a channel called 'Phone Repair Guru' that shows the same problem. It seems this is a common defect of this generation of iPads, What I want to ask is whether this is normal??

When you said bulging up in the title, it sounded like you meant a battery defect that had caused it to swell. This isn’t bulging up.

I don’t think the ability to push the screen in a little is defect. I think it’s just the design of the tablet. People have talked about the screen flexing under the Pencil for a bunch of models now. That’s when you’re most likely to see it since you’re bearing down in one small spot.

Maybe don’t do the thing where he was bending it back and forth, though even there you can see the vertical brace they added this year is making it fairly resilient. Otherwise I doubt the flexing screen causes any issue at all unless you go looking for it.

That looks completely normal to me on a device that thin and light. Engineering a tablet like this is always a trade-off between lightness and how structurally solid it‘s going to be. Looking at all the different durability tests, it looks like they struck a good balance.
