So Apple was rumoured to be introducing an M2 Max based 16 inch MacBook Pro in November. Really? Oh Really??
I wonder how that could ever have been a thing? Consider this. The MAC Studio Max model requires a beefy (and originally noisy) heat exchanger to dissipate the heat from the Max chip. How could such a heat sink fit into a thin new laptop? Was the version of the Max chip planned for the 16 inch MacBook Pro going to be a much downgraded version that produces less heat and therefore would be less computationally powerful?
Now we learn that Mark Gurman, the apparently officially approved Apple product announcer says there will be no new MacBooks this year.
Could that be because of another Apple silicon heat dissipation problem that Apple prefers not to speak about? The Mac Pro based on the assumed 'extreme' chip also seems to have slipped into the future too. Could that also be afflicted by a heat dissipation problem delaying early release?
Does anyone else feel there may be a product problem that is being hushed up?
