The most awesome "One More Thing..."

I just thought it would be fun to open this up for discussion...

What do you think the coolest thing that could happen as a "One More Thing..." announcement? I will go first..

I think that after a music event the one more thing would be a new content type for iTunes: Live Concerts and Events (posted the day after). The group that is invited on stage to help announce...none other than the Rolling Stones. After that time they also announce a new tour, and their concerts will be available on iTunes. After the announcements, they sing two or three songs.

I like your idea. Live music available soon after the show would be huge! The record companies would hate it, but the artists would love it.

Pearl Jam has done this in the past and lots of bands are starting to do this, like on of my faves, Widespread Panic.

The biggest problem with this is that the bands don't really need iTunes to do this, as evidenced by the bands I mentioned. The fans can go straight to the bands to get the shows and they wouldn't have to pay a middleman (Apple).

Now if you pick select bands, add video into the mix, you might have yourself a winner.


As for my coolest "One More Thing," Apple Whole Home control. They build an add on to any electrical device in your home and everything from the stove to the dishwasher, lights to lawn irrigation, is controlled from your Mac. That would blow my mind...

I know it's not a particularly creative one more thing since the rumors are already flying, but the Apple Slate. I'm fascinated with Apple's multi-touch and tablets in general, especially because now they seem to incorporate the newest and most innovative technologies, aside from just the touch interface. And as a one more thing it's of course the ultimate teaser, since they would obviously be going through the whole show without mentioning it.
