Tweetbot for Twitter is a must(if you are on there that is), I use my phone mainly for picture taking so I have a ton of photo apps like: Moment/Enlight/Prisma/VSCO/Warmlight/Quickshot

If you like Things 3, check out Sorted. It has the ability to schedule tasks with your calendar. Very similar interface but more functional.

I really wish I could get behind Things 3. I love the interface and its got a lot of cool feature but I guess I'm just not enough of a GTD guy. I just keep on using the built in Reminders and Notes.

I agree, I've tried a few to-do-list apps – even paid for a couple – but I keep going back to Notes and Reminders. I'm not entirely sure why, I think it's the deep integration and pervasive synching. Plus, I don't need any of the fancy stuff those other apps provide. I kind of like Clear, for its unique UI and simplicity, but Reminders always seem to be the first choice in a hurry. Probably because of Siri :)

Other apps that are very important to me, though probably not for most other people, are:
  • Blink (which replaced Prompt as by default SSH app)
  • ST-1 Pro as my HD and DSD music player
  • V for Wiki (which is soooo much better than reading Wikipedia web pages)
  • 1Blocker
  • ScannerPro (which may actually be in danger of being replaced by Notes once I get an iPad Pro)
as well as some utility apps (banking, telecom, energy) from my service providers. Also, localised traffic and weather information apps like LiveTraffic, TripView and Oz Weather.

I have used Things for years, and I disagree. Sorted offers more functionality and is just as polished.

It’s not polished at all. The transitions are choppy and if you flick between themes it ends up half dark, half light. Sorry, but they just tried to copy Things 3 and pretty much failed.

You don’t need to be a GTD guy, I’m not... It can be as basic or as powerful as you want it to be.

Would you say Blink is better than Termius? I’m quite a fan of Termius but it’s a subscription model, whereas Blink is just a one-off purchase which I prefer. Just I’ve seen some mixed reviews for it in the AppStore.

Have you tried Good Task? It uses the Reminders app, but adds extra functionality.

I haven't tried Termius, thanks for the tip. One can always use a better terminal app. It appears to support Mosh, which is a must for me.

No, I haven't. I'm not actually looking for more functionality. The thing with extra functionality is that it often creates more clutter and gets in the way of the simple tasks. What would win me over though would be killer automation through Shortcuts integration.

It just adds a few extra things like checklist etc. and offers better view options / filtering with view of your calendars too. Basically Reminders on steroids, a new front-end using the same data source. You can obviously use your normal Reminders shortcuts.

Yeah, like I say Termius is really good, well it’s what I’ve been using for well over a year.

The subscription model is rather expensive, but to be fair I think most folks probably can get by with the free version.
