I knew it was small, but had no idea. Makes me want one.... a lot.
The best shot (besides the lovely young lady), is it next to the previous Pro. Of course he exaggerated it, but still.

Of course, for most people, it will be much larger with all the necessary ad-ons.
I see all those photos on carpet and think many people will probably put it on the floor. I wonder if Apple considered that. With its small size, a couple mean dust bunnies could clog up the ventilation rather quickly.

I would have it on my desk, and then my external storage would be in the cabinet in, and beside my desk. I actually already have my USB3.0 and thunderbolt storage there and it works fine. Can't see or notice them.
With the new mac pro the only visible cables will be Audio interface XLR cable, and mouse and keyboard cables, as the cables from the MP will be going backwards out against the wall, and down the back of the desk.
Why would anyone put in on the floor? I mean old Pro could be on the floor because you couldn't easily tumble the damn thing.
If I were to buy one, it would definitely be on the desk just cause it wouldn't collect all the dust that's on the floor. I would put addons into a cabinet, that's actually part of my desk so it would be no biggie.
I'm thinking this board could use a TMI emoticon.

Operating environment
Do not operate your Mac Pro in areas with significant amounts of debris, dust, or ash from cigarettes, cigars, ashtrays, stoves, or fireplaces.
