11.6 Inch Display - Hope not. 13 is the smallest usable on a laptop

I doubt that iOS has battery optimizations that OS X doesn't have. IMO, they'd both have the same battery life.

The idea is that in iOS mode, the system would turn off the Intel CPU and the GPU and switch over to the A4. It's now an ipad running off the laptop's battery, not the main laptop hardware running iOS. The suggested power savings are coming from switching off the higher powered components, not from iOS power management .

This has been done before. Check out Dell's "Latitude ON" feature that's available on some of their Latitude Laptops.

I think the first priority for additional chips is a dedicated graphics card, but the dual system thing is sort of interesting. I can't see how they would switch elegantly between modes, but Apple's designers are a lot smarter that me...
