I appreciate what it is, but the overlap on the sides just looks messy to me (I understand that making it bigger protects the sides, but still...).

Let us know about the fit and finish when it arrives. :)

If the title of the tread has the words like "Best" in it, you expect this sort of thing. :D

Anyone buy a Leather manila envelope for the Macbook Air?
Are they any good? Lots of cheap ones on ebay- prob lousy quality.
Can anyone recommend a good version?

looks cheap, and costs the earth for some strange reason.

you 've obviously not bought any proper leather product before, they are all regularly very expensive. If you think this costs the earth, try vaja instead for $300. I am not dissing vaja, I am just saying that leather is expensive.

thanks for the wiseass comment, but show me a better one you bought so you can put your money where your mouth is...

No velcro near my Air please :)

I've seen nicer covers, this one adds bulk, likely heavy too.

I 'd love to see them, cause I ve not found any.

I'm sorry, thats just plain tacky.:(

yeah and you would know Ann, because Italians are so unfashionable and tacky, and americans (who to be frank most are a laughing stock in terms of taste when they travel to Europe) have such great finesse and they other the highest authority on tackiness. Sorry for the jab here to other americans (I mean it) but I had to reply in kind.

I might buy an air just so I can buy these leather cases:

yeah first of all, to my knowledge, there's none for the 11" air, secondly as someone else correctly said it looks like the pd air, if you enjoy having black leather all over the top of your keyboard, and you find it aesthetically pleasing go for it and be happy, but I and other find this not very tasteful.

will do. :)

Just moved here from France within the past year actually. I consider myself Asian-European, but thanks for voicing your thoughts on Americans. Boy! I guess there are some truth about Italians being so hot-headed. In all seriousness though, what? An individual can't have an opinion that differs from yours? ;)
