There's been a bunch of threads here wondering about app performance with the nMP and of course I'm interested since I run CS6 - Ps, Ai , Dw and Id (among many others) but I haven't seen anything about how the new machine will run Win7 x64 under Fusion or Parallels.

For my part, I find that the biggest thing that slows my MP 3,1 down is the moment I open Fusion and start Win7 x64…running apps on both sides concurrently.

I'm wondering whether when I order the nMP whether I can "get away with" going the hex route (because of the faster processor, ram, etc.) or if I'm going to need to pony up to the 8 core just so there's enough assets to be spread around? Thoughts?

Do you need your CS license to be on the Windows side? I thought that Adobe would transfer the license under certain conditions? I did it back in the CS3 days from Windows to OSX for a nominal fee.

I run CS6 on the Mac side.

I have an interactive marketing business and among other services, help some clients with their SEO initiatives. Some of the tools I use for optimization and competitor monitoring are Windows only. I also use the Win side for IE browser testing and light MS Office work.
