The silicone sports band is ideal for exercises as it is easily cleaned.
The nylon sport loop? Will it be a stinky sweaty band? Gross. :D

Yep, use that thing called a sink and wash it. My wife has a nylon band and works out with no problems. Just clean it.

I’ve ordered a Black Sport Loop 42mm because some colours, including Black, are showing as “This colour is available for a limited time only.”

Personally, it's more about the silicon sports band being much easier to clean and dry. I can quickly rinse and dry them after exercise. I'm not sure how washing and using soap on the nylon bands would do to its longevity, but good to know that it's possible. :)

It just takes a little longer to dry. After washing in warm, soapy water I leave it to dry on a sheet of kitchen towel.

Hers only takes a little bit to dry and I think she even used a hair dryer to do it when we were leaving within the hour.

You can also easily swap them out, so have one for workout and the other for regular wear. She is actually going to do this now as her other finally busted.

Ordered mine this morning. Looks awesome and have been close to ordering a black nylon for quite some time so it was pretty on point it came now

And regarding the cleaning of it: Would they really call it a Sports Loop if they didn’t make it easy to clean?

I have a silicon sports band and do think those work well, but I like my nylon band much better. It is dirty and possibly stinky and I should try to wash it again (I did not do a very good job the time I did try to wash it before). It does hold some water if I get it wet, say kayaking. But it is lighter and softer and less hot to wear. It may have slightly more holes than the sport loop and/or it is better tighter, and so the HR may be more reliable. So for me it is better for working out overall. The new sports loops look nice and I would want to try one of those too; if or when I buy an new watch I will probably get that version.

I rushed too fast to order. I wanted the new sport loop, in a dark color. I didn't realize the Nike Cell have their own versions of these. Wished I'd ordered the black Nike+cell black Sport loop set. I ordered the reg cell version with the dark olive sport loop, they don't offer it in black with a cell watch. Hard to see what the dark olive is, looks black.
May return it anyway, as I use Tmo and they are not looking watch friendly, but I'd guess that will change as they have paved the way for less restrictive plans...but not yet in this case.

Dark olive looks great - the Nike isn’t sold separately yet it seems.

I’ve gone for the black so might add the Nike if they sell it down the line

My new sport loop arrived yesterday. I think these new bands will be my favorite so far. Super light and super comfy. More breathable than sportband. Will have its first pool test later this AM.

I love the nylon bands. Hate that they're just traditional buckle. Leather loop had always been my favorite. The combination of nylon and loop is brilliant. I ordered the Nike version just for that magic combination of sport loop, LTE, and SGA.

I can see knockoffs coming in lots of colors.

It will be interesting to see if knockoffs are as light soft and supple. I have a couple of the previous apple nylon bands but like you I was never wild about the traditional buckle and they are way bulkier than this new loop.

You do laundry, right? You wash your clothes repeatedly, right? They haven't fallen apart just from washing, right?

Yes, clothes are designed to be washed repeatedly, in general.
But a small item like this, that's why I put out a question. And unlike you, I am glad there are other users that already shared their positive experience.
Good day.
