Either in front of a computer or behind a camera.
Its like the news. You never hear stories about all the people that didn't get murdered. Now the public perception is that our society is more dangerous now than ever, when in fact its just the opposite. Its all about perception. Considering all of the horror stories of people with bad or malfunctioning MacBook Pro's I thought it would be good to post all the "happily ever after" stories about our little aluminum friend.

I LOVE my MacBook Pro. It is perfect. No dead pixels, Rosetta is amazing (even w/ the stock 512), its not that hot [temp], it is really hot [sexy], I am consistently getting 3:30 on the battery, and I don't have any whine or [insert Rev. A problem here].
I LOVE my MacBook Pro.

I had the whine, but since I started and stopped the mirror widget once, it's been gone. (I never shut it down, I just put it to sleep.)

Count me in as a member of the "I love my MBP" club. :D

Wait, you launched and the quit the mirror and it went away? is you iSight always on then? I think I may have a little whine, but it could just be the HDD. Step by step, what did you do?

I launched the mirror widget and then I quit it again. The iSight isn't on according to the light and there is no cpu usage, but the whine went away. And the whine was very noticable and annoying before I did that.

How much is the membership fee? Can I pay in natura?

i love my MBP


it gets real hot, i has one dead pixel but it ****ing rocks!!!!

i had a 12" 1.33 power book and the MBP smokes it

tiz like going from a wrx impreza to a 360 spider
it's hot, sexy, loud and attracts attention every where you go
plus it goes from 0-startup in 30sec flat..

i love my MBP

no dead pixels, slight whine, but only sometimes - and besides i'm used to my brothers dell that sounds like a jet engine powering up - the amount of air those things need to suck in! you could use them as vacuum cleaners. In other words my MPB is crystal quiet as far as im concerned.

It does get incredibly hot though, I have 3rd degree burns ;) on my lap, even with a dinner place mat between me and the machine.

But i don't mind if my baby wants to vent a bit of heat 'cause I Love My MBP.:D

I love my MBP!

It has 'the whine' but luckly my house doesnt have central AC so the window unit 2 feet away drowns it out. ;)

My only annoyance is that the trackpad button feels 'mushy' :confused: Coming from an old G3 iBook the MBP's button feels inferior. Is this normal? Or do I just need some more time to break it in?

I love mine!

No whine

No wireless issues (Same strength as my old 12in powerbook)

Mag safe and all the other touches rock, I took it round my parents who now have my old 12in powerbook and they were asking to for an upgrade hehe.

2.0ghz intel duo with 2gb of ram its astonishing for a laptop! :)

I really like mine: 2.16 Ghz, 1 GB, 7200 HDD.

However, it does get quite hot. On Apple's website it says that the standard operating temperatures should range from 10-35 degrees C. Yesterday after a few hours of gaming and chatting I checked the temperature and it was 42 degrees C!!! I'm worried that the computer's life will be cut short by a year or two because of such high operating temperatures.

if you think 35 is hot, try my powerbook at 60.5ºC! 1.5 GHz. You won't have any problems until you get to >65º. Mac's run hot. they don't get damaged.

you are doing nothing but making me want one more :D at this rate, i'll order one by april 4. :D ;)

When I opened Photobooth or turned on the mirror widget, the whine sound goes away.

I'm one of those people who like to shut down their computer. If you put it to sleep all the time, you should be good.

I just bought my MacBook Pro today. I splurged and got the 2.0 GHz one, as I was planning on only getting the 1.83. Love it so far, still setting it up and transferring things from my iMac!

i like my MBP but can't say i love it..

i still haven't gotten an apple computer that i loved but eventually i will -.-
