Some people seem to believe (or hope) there will be a change in next 60 days, but there is no chance, right? I assume Apple has already begun the production in China and they will use the entire 60 days to stock up?

Sure, it's definitely the production model. As is usual with Apple products a lot of functions (hardware and software) will be discovered over the coming months that haven't been mentioned in the Keynote and any documentation or product site on Apple.com. I guess that's also part of he fun, and a good source of income for Arn here, who is guaranteed a lot of traffic to the site. ;)

The only thing that will be different in real life will be the snappyness of the Safari app, because they most likely used a 2,000,000 Mbp/s line for the presentation. Same thing with the iPhone when it was introduced.

Just a few days (I think) back, there was an article claiming that the iPad could be supplied to customers later due to production issues. This could be it.

OT: I find the name iPad sounds like some darn sanitary pad.

Technically, the one he showed today would have some extra features, like the ability to stream everything to the huge projector in the auditorium

But yes, they won't be adding/removing any features unless absolutely necessary.

Hardware is set. Spec sheets published. Lots can change in software before launch. Most likely, 4.0.

The 4.0 update probably won't be available until June or July. So we won't see 4.0 when the iPad ships. The hardware is probably already fixed so we won't see any camera on it till the refresh which will probably happen in a year or so.

I'd skip this version to be honest and wait for the second generation. A front facing camera can bring some interesting things to the table such as multi-user support with facial recognition. That way it would be possible to share the device between family members each with their own setup. I'm sure Apple has already thought of this and are just waiting to present it.

You don't need a camera or facial recognition to support multiple users. A simple selection screen will surfice.

I hope they do support multiple users, but I doubt they will - not even in the oft hyped OS 4.0 (which will not bring multitasking to this or the iPhone either).
