it's true!

everything works great on the 2018 Mac Mini - no complaints - except BlueTooth.

I have an Apple trackpad that works great but ONLY when directly wired to the unit - it never sustains the connection via blueTooth.

I have also tried two different sets of blueTooth headphones, and they both work sporadically / intermittently. (they tend to go out at punchlines and key moments in a drama!)

I do not know why this should be. I have a $150 Android phone in my pocket where BlueTooth works almost perfectly, almost never any problem.

grateful for any and all suggestions / feedback!

I have found that if I don't use the leftmost USB-A port, I have no Bluetooth connection problems on my 2018 MM.

so what you are saying is : if the leftmost port, which is a full-sized "regular" USB 3.0 port (right?), if that's EMPTY, then I should have no problem? thanks! I will try!

There's a long running thread on this in the Mac mini section, some of us have problems and some don't.
hey! thanks for this. if we are having problems, is there anything we can do? Any kind of doo-dad, third party or otherwise, we can buy and add-on that will help with the blueTooth issues? thank you again!

Yes! I was having these issues as well. I finally searched for a dongle/3rd party solution. I found one-using without dropping signal as I write this. The product is the Avantree Leaf. It is usb based and I have plugged it into a hub plugged into the leftmost USB port. It makes the Mini think there is a sound card attached. Works fine with my Airpods Pro. The only drawback is that there is a button to switch to the call mode, but that works fine as well. For $35 or so from Amazon, saves a world of aggravation. My time being more valuable than that.

okay! If I can use this with my bluetooth apple track pad, it will very much be worth $35.00. Thank YOU!

Actually, that is my question: I see this is mainly designed to work with audio devices. Which is great - but will it also work with an Apple Trackpad?? thank YOU!
