MP 7,1 The order of ram

I'd like to learn from knowledgeable Mac Pro folk regarding ram in the new MP. I bought four 32gb sticks from Nemix. One stick was DOA. It happens. Now I'm thinking of returning two, though one of those two is good. They come in pairs, so I have to return two to get two. I'm thinking of just buying one of those sticks. Here's my question: they are installed in pairs. Slots 2 and 3 is 32/8, as are slots 4/5, 6/7, 9/10. Can I mix these slots? In other words can I put 32gb/32gb in slots 2 and 3 and the rest 32/8?

There are configurations for 8 slots, not for 9. LOL.

Best RAM configuration for the 2019 Mac Pro

Hey all, I am ordering my Mac Pro right now. Rather than pay Apple prices for RAM I am looking at OWC instead. They have a mind boggling array of choices in all different sizes of ram modules and chips. Is more RAM per chip best? Is more RAM sticks with smaller amounts of RAM per chip better...
