Hello. The recycle bin is flooded with .ini files on a continuous basis. It never stops and tens of thousand of files keep being added.
How do I stop that? I used Antivirus 1 and Cleaner Pro but to no avail.

If you're running OneDrive on your Mac someone called "BucksRothers" at the Apple forums posted this fix:
  • Turn off your wifi, then quit the OneDrive app.
  • Navigate to the Applications folder and control click the OneDrive app.
  • Click "Show Package Contents"
  • Open the Resources Folder
  • Click ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command
  • Open OneDrive and sign back into your account.
That should reset OneDrive and fix the issue.

...and what's in those .txt files? can you see any clues there?

Just to add - on a Mac it's simply called "Trash", not "Recycle Bin"😴

^^^^Huh - Never seen bin on a Mac. Mine has always said and still says - "Move to Trash"

"Recycle Bin" On a Mac it has always been Trash. When windows came along after after the Mac OS and after DOS. MS needed a descriptor for their version of Trash. Since Apple was already using Trash, MS came up with Recycle Bin.

I’m on Mojave, and right-click on file says “move to bin”. Perhaps it’s a location thingy?

As I said earlier:
"In English it is "Trash" or "Bin" depending on your country."

I believe it is Bin with location US (and related), and Trash location UK (and related). For example, in AU, it is Trash.

Some sort of attempt to keep up with the local vernacular. Doesn't succeed in my household - our physical rubbish goes in the Bin.

Maybe also that "trash" has offensive connotation in some countries.

I'm in the US - It has always been Trash for me. I've been a Mac user since MacOS4.0.

Oh, that wasn't what I expected!

So we have:
Bin: UK
Trash: US & AU

Edit: not that simple.

1) I tried changing region (and language) from AU to UK and rebooted - still called Trash. And then from UK to US and rebooted - still Trash.
2) Created a new macOS install (High Sierra in a virtual machine), used UK for my region. But it is still Trash.

So I don't know a) how to set the name to Bin, nor b) how to create a new install where the name is Bin.

here did some research:
So it depends on macOS version as well as country.

Just checked (all with region Australia):
1) Sonoma virtual machine I create last December and my M3 MBP use Bin.
2) Catalina VM uses Bin.
3) But my 2019 iMac (clean install with Catalina and upgraded annually to Sonoma) uses Trash.
