the requisite "i've got a new MacBook Pro"

Hi everyone,

just a small message to say i am now the proud owner of a macbook pro (17" 2.4ghz). I've been a windows / linux user for the past, well 10 years ish, so the switch is a big one.

So far I'm more impressed - if only for the battery life. Unfortunately at work, so its been left at home, however tonight will be the "playing" night.. I've read the forums for a while however any one line tips are more than welcome.

Congrats Bill on making the switch and coming into the light. Hopefully you will see all the goodies Macs have to offer compared to other machines. I suggest saying in touch with this forum, it will help you out with anything you need.
