Ok so there are plenty of threads and reviews for GPS apps now the question is if you had to have only app what would it be? And if you could have 1 feature added to the app what would it be? Keep in mind of the updates coming out so try to be creative:D

Why not set this up as a poll, curly?

EDIT: nice.

I'm still stuck between Navigon and TomTom.

I'd like to see Navigon with more legible street names/a brighter daytime map.

Bought Co-Pilot but not convinced it's the right choice based on how updated the maps are and how I suffer the same problems as others where it is no use when you have one turn straight after another and it tells you too late.

I'm trying to decide between Navigon and Tom Tom UK versions - not a lot in it except Navigon has already brought out an update and the next one is already announced - I like a company that keeps its customers informed so I'm leaning towards Navigon at the moment.

Bought Co-Pilot but...

Not exactly my place to say, but it would be nice if we could just keep this to curly's request. It could be revealing. There are plenty of other threads to vent on the specifics. :)

Thanks severe for that input.Look at as a wish list,as you know christmas is just around the corner:eek:

Voted for Navigon.

Two features that I'd like and not announced would be better text legibility in day view and some voices to pick from.

Agree, I had already made the vote, yes I should have kept the comments out of this particular thread.

It should technically be*2* for TomTom right now, as I purchased it in addition to Navigon, but since I took it off my phone and don't plan on using it till a future update (I simply don't have the room on my 8 GB 3G for another 1 GB+ GPS app), I voted only Navigon. Gotta keep myself honest.

Navigon here. Very good so far. Looking forward to the v1.2 update - and beyond!

:D

LOL, well after voting solely for Co-Pilot, I've since gone and purchased Navigon but now can't vote for that one, it's looking a bit popular already though :)

Where is G-Maps, had it since day one and has been awsome..........the price for the other GPS apps is way too much....I bought a Navigon stand alone for 99.00 includes all updates and got it with free traffic.....99.00 for Tom Tom as an app, they need to rethink the cost. We already have the hardware........
Just my opinion.:D

I'm a navigon convert (all my standalones were tomtom with one brief but horrendous dalliance with a free Smartnav - shudder)

apart from those features already planned for updates I would like to see:

ability to zoom in on 3d view
full postcode entry (although so far this hasn't caused an issue)
A more accurate time to arrival would be nice as at the moment it's rather ambitious.

I like navigon for nice clean map display (tomtoms always looked a bit crude IMO), lane assist, TTS (the addition of street names will be swish), reality view.

I have Navigon and TomTom. I like Navigon better, which is what I voted for.

tomtom hasnt been out long enough to compete in this pole imho. thats like posting who has what console and asking about a console that has been out for a week and another thats been out a year.

Your poll is flawed - your question asks for the one app you would keep and features. But the poll allows you to select any of the choices, not just one and your questions of GPS 2+ apps and so on is redundant.

Are you kidding?

Just pick an app, type what 1 feature you would like added, and go for a walk.

Where's the cheap-o [app]roadee[/app]?

In the list, Pika.

The intent is to see what app the majority of people have (or prefer) the latter of the poll question was reserved to see if people are carrying more then one app and using them

It’s been out for a good 4 days and has made it to #1 paid app so I think it qualifies

They're not referring to the Maps app. Your poll is missing another app called G-Map.

G-Map U.S. West

You know I could not locate that app till you sent over the link (thanks) ;)
I will edit the poll.Kindly point me if the direction of editing the poll if that is possible?
