The Sims 2 Flashing Red

I have a Macbook Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 120 GB Hard drive, and Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.

I bought this game while I had Tiger and it worked fine, but I don't believe I have played it since Leopard. When it starts up it looks normal, but when I load a neighborhood, all the terrain is flashing red, when a house loads there is no lighting and is almost completely dark. I have turned off optimize rendering to no avail. Any help?

Flashing Red Terrain!

omigod, i have nearly the exact same problem. When i load the game on my PC, its fine, but then i get into the neighborhood and theres like some weird patches of flashing red stuff, but some of it is still green. and then i go into a lot and its all dark and even when i turn on the lights, it just makes this teeny little glow. I've heard that some girl had this problem too and she reinstalled it and it was fine, but i'm trying to find a solution without resorting to that. If i find a solution, I'll try and remember to tell you if you promisse to do likewise. DEAL?

im having the same problem but it is flashing blue! this only seems to happen when i am in a custom neighborhood and i have tried reinstalling the game 3 times, but it keeps on happening. i am on an aluminum iMac which should be able to run this, i really dont get what the problem could be, any help would be great!
