Can we take a moment to appreciate just how amazing the new wallpaper-screensaver feature is?

I know these videos have been available on Apple TV, but seeing them on a Mac is just mesmerising. The quality and transitions, the slow-down effect as they come to a stop... Just flawless. And I love how you can have a wallpaper that is constantly changing, based on when your screensaver activates.

My favourites so far are the California and Oregon, Sea Stars, and Antartica Southern Lights.

The only trouble is that I've spent far too much time downloading and watching them rather than doing work!

The utterly-confounding UX screwup across wallpaper/screensaver selection has killed all the magic.

What happened to just selecting a wallpaper and a screensaver? That just worked.

Now it's a mind-boggling juggling act to get one wallpaper per desktop space and a screensaver that doesn't change when changing spaces. I don't even know how to explain what they've done to it cuz it's so convoluted.

Way to go Apple. Breaking something that used to work just fine YET AGAIN.

Has anyone noticed that the landscape wallpaper in Sonoma has an incorrect horizontal adjustment? Check out the ponds and ask why they are leaning down to the right. Nothing to most but a photographic editor it is of UTMOST importance. Shoddy work.
