So, one of my friends has an iMac that he bought here in the UK. However, he has since moved out of the UK to France so now the warranty is kinda invalid since it's only for home country (if I am correct on that).
His mighty mouse's clit has now given out and now won't scroll properly (after only like a month and a half). I will soon have an iMac as well. And my mouse will be working very well. I will be visiting him in a month and a half in France.
Question: If I were to exchange mice w/him and then take it to the Apple store and ask them to fix it, would this be an issue due to the fact the mouse has its own serial number? Is it tied to the machine where they'd find out what is going on?
As I don't think it's fair that if he still lives in the EU he should lose his warranty rights--especially seeing as if he had went w/AppleCare, they're evil and don't allow international warranty on desktop even though the iMac is really slim and all that and easily transportable for moves such as this.
