Okay, I've waited four and a half fricken months for this moment and it is finally here. This week, once I get my financial aid refund check in the mail, I will be ordering the top of the line refurbished 24" iMac. I've waited this long because I didn't have proper funds. Should I keep playing the waiting game? I'm not sure whether or not to keep waiting so if somebody can give me valid reasons why I should or should not wait then I will definitely take those into consideration. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Yeah, that's basically why I'm getting it, to make school (and life) easier. My first personal computer purchase and I'm getting a Mac.

if hou are planning to buy something, you should always take a look at the macrumors buyers guide. It's really useful.
But... There is something else: have you checked if those refurb ones are really the latest iMacs? 'Cause when it ain't, you should wait.

The buyer's guide for the iMac is currently neutral. By top of the line I do mean the newer model with the 3.06GHz processor and other goodies.
