Ask the NSA
Next time you go to your Apple store, look closely at the employees. One thing you all will see in common is that MOST OF THEM WEAR GLASSES! I noticed that, and I inquired at my local Apple store to some employees. 3 employees (in the same store) said that Apple makes them wear faux glasses to look 'smarter.' Weird. I decided to see if this is true all storewide, so while I was visiting another city, I went to a nearby mall with an Apple store and asked employees with glasses the same question. 5 employees were wearing fake glasses. How did I ask? All I said was "Hey, nice glasses!" And the one with fake ones said something along the lines of: "oh there aren't real." "apple makes me wear these." "They are just for show" And things of that sort. Now we know the truth.

It's amazing NOBODY ever noticed this before!

Seems legit

In other shocking news, not all Apple retail employees carry the Genius job title/position. I know right, I was just as floored as you.

I suppose there was always going to be someone who refused to take their tinfoil hat back to the store.

I wear prescription glasses.. But I was asked frequently if my glasses were real while I worked the Genius Bar. I suppose it might be a result of rumors like this.

Apples dress code is very casual and they encourage you to express your individuality. There is nothing required except the blue shirt (red during Xmas) and your lanyard. The rest is up to you.

Try to ignore the rumors or whinings of disgruntled ex-employees.
