A little while ago I posted about a problem I was having with my 12" 1.33ghz PB. My computer was experiencing random (seemingly) kernel panics, and despite all of the advice I was given, the problem was never resolved.
I noticed after a little while that the panics only occurred when I would lift the powerbook from the lower right hand corner, around the battery. I wasn't sure what would cause this, as it seemed some sort of a short would likely now allow my computer to function at all.
However, just yesterday my airport disappeared from my computer. I first noticed it's status indicator was not up in the bar. When I went in to the internet settings to replace it, there was a little message letting me know I did not have any airport hardware installed. I removed my card, and re-set it... to no avail.
I pose these questions:
1. Could a failing airport card cause the kernel panics and be affected by some sort of physical stress such as would be applied when I picked up the powerbook in the general vicinity of the card.
2. If my airport card is not showing up, is the more likely culprit my motherboard or the airport card itself.
3. How much do I have to put up with before I put the thing up for sale on eBay for parts, and put the money toward a macbook?
I won't be able to check this thread until later tonight, so if you have any other questions for me about what has happened, they can probably be answered here:

Thanks!
