It's a little bizarre that a very expensive tablet doesn't have an item finding chip that is subsequently featured in a $29 accessory launched on the same day.

I don't see why it wouldn't be included, seeing how so many people take their iPad with them pretty much everywhere they go and use it as their main device. In another 10 days or so, we will know for sure.

Well, the 2020 iPad Pro didn't have a U1 chip and many people complained about that. I don't think the 2021 iPad Pro will have a U1 chip either.

Interesting, the 2020 iPad Pro also doesn’t have it and I found that very odd, but I thought the 2021 would definitely have it.

No the U1 chip is what makes the tracking better than normal Bluetooth.

We can order them on 04/30 and we'll not get them until May so who knows when the review embargo will be lifted

Well, it will be this week. The reviews are ALWAYS out before the preorders. I seem to recall its usually tuesday or wednesday but I don't remember which one so I wondered if someone has better knowledge.

I guess probably 8am tomorrow
