I tried doing a "verify disc" on my iBook. At the end of the verification, it stopped and showed this: (Included Picture).

Is my hard-drive dead? I'm still under warranty. I cannot click on repair disc either.

Thanks in advance.

Mathieu, hoping his computer ain't dead :(

p.s. The only reason I did this test is because my Dock will not magnetize even if it's set on. (If you can help with this, please do so to.) The computer seems to be working fine.

One more thing: I Just changed the keyboard (the backspace didn't work and apple gave me another keyboard, that seems to be the time that the magnification stopped working. I cannot seem to see a link between all of this. Maybe you will.

edit: The keyboard works fine since changed.

You now want to try exactly what Disk Utility told you to do: Start up from your installation disc and run Disk Utility from there, where you will be able to choose the Repair Disk button.

See if that puts everything right before worrying.

Thanks. It's all repaired and my magnification works now!

It's good to know my computer's fine.
Yay! I could only see a small sliver of the fsck output there, and it didn't look too serious. It's nice to know it wasn't!
