TWC app for iPad had been working for me. I had to restore my iPad fresh today due to some other issues caused by Meebo and upon restore TWC does not work any longer.

The very first time it is run it asks me if it is okay to use my current location, but from that point on all it will do is sit with a spinning wheel and the words "searching for your current location, please wait".

This never goes away, even if I reset the device, reset the application, uninstall the application from the iPad and re-install it.

Google Maps and other weather applications (weather bug) show my location just fine. Does anyone have any insight on this problem? I would just assume TWC was broken but as I mention I had it working earlier before I had to restore the device.

Inexplicably started working again. I will chalk it up to possible server outage, etc, at TWC.

This happened to me, as well. I ended up deleting the app after getting frustrated with it. I now use Weather Bug.

I wonder, though, if it is a RAM issue. What I should have done is shut down the iPad and reboot to see if that cleared up enough RAM to get the app to work again.

I find the radar animation from the Weather Channel app terribly slow on the iPad, though good on the iPhone. Either the information is not downloading fast enough to smooth it out, or its a memory issue. But that is a guess.
