Funny - even as Apple bought out hyper-local forecaster Dark Sky, they are still resorting to Weather Channel forecasting - and their widgets are still basic and nowhere near as detailed as the Weather Network's (as above).
Even the effort to include hyper-local forecasting (which shows up as a more precise location at the bottom of the main Weather app) doesn't translate into the correct location name on the top of the app or widget.
Sigh. Its like v.1 of Maps all over again...
Looks like 14.0.1 added precipitation forecast to Weather app in Canada. It looks like they're gradually integrating Dark Sky's features. I reckon iOS 15 will see a full revamp of the Weather app, using it.

Still not showing actual reporting station (hyper-location) as Header in widget or app - though app shows it, if scrolloing to bottom of page.
Obvious features by a thousand 'updates'.
A bit off topic, but you are saying that 14.0.1 has newer and more/worse issues than 14.0?Apple's weather app you mean? As in both amount and percentage per hour and day and show it in the widget and app? I've read that 14.0.1 has some other bugs so will stick for now to 14.0 and since I have some third party widgets that I prefer over Apples one also due to reliability of the weather source.

Its true, their are older weather apps out there that have not yet got a homescreen widget which look and report better.
Unfortunately Forecast Bar doesn't seem to offer a Today View/Notification Center widget in iOS 14 -- assuming we are talking about the classic widget -- once the new widgets have been introduced. Not only older ones that haven't been updated to support homescreen widgets (Partly Sunny, BeWeather3) but also the ones that did update to iOS14 homescreen widgets (and still offer NC widgets as well) such as Carrot Weather, Forecast Bar.
