Hello all

I have the 32gb WiFi iPad and having an issue with my WiFi and GoodReader and I'm not sure if this an isolated issue or related to the WiFi issues that have been reported in the media.

What happens is when in GoodReader and I am trying to transfer a file from my desktop to GoodReader via WiFi the file times out and I loose my WiFi connection. I then have to go into my settings and reconnect to my network.

The strange thing is when using GoodReader on my iPhone I do not have this issue. I am able to transfer said files to that device.

Anyone else see in this?

Thanks
David

I've only had this happen once. I had to reboot my Airport Extreme to get my iPod Touch and iPad to stop dropping their wifi connections. It doesn't sound like you have the same problem because your iPhone still works but it would be helpful to know more about your setup. What kind of wifi access point or router do you have?

Thanks for the reply.

I have a Linksys 54g Router at home and for the sake of troubleshooting I also tried it while tethered via MyWi and had the same results.

I got a letter back from the developer of GoodReader and he said this is part of the "known issue" with the iPad's WiFi.

While researching this on Google I came across this link from someone that was having the same issue:

So this weekend I may give restoring a try. Otherwise I may return it to Apple for a replacement.

I'm patiently waiting for Apple to come out with a fix.
In the meantime I'll simply continue to play Plants VS Zombies in limbo on the WiFi.
