If you want to dial a number shown on a webpage then you can do it in two ways using the S-pen without leaving the browser.

First you can use the Air Command which starts automatically when you undock the S-Pen to open the Action Memo app and write the number on the opened memo app window and choose the phone action to automatically dial the number.

You can also use use the Air Command to open the Pen Window app and draw a small window on the browser screen and choose phone action which will produce the phone dialer on the browser screen.

This is just one small example how the S-Pen can be used to help in a practical way which those unfamiliar with the Note may be unaware.

I'm a big fan of the s pen don't get me wrong, and I'm trying to find more uses for it, but I fail to see how taking the steps you describe actually save time compared with just opening the dialer app and tapping the number in with your thumb.

On Kit Kat my Note 3 will NOT save the URL For a Scrapbook Screen Capture of a web page. What am I missing?

If I capture a scrapbook image of an article for reading later it's not useful if the URL Data is missing.

Thoughts?

If you open the dialer app then you lose the browser screen and need to memorize the phone number or write it down which is not as convenient.

I was using the Boat browser and I've just tried Chrome and it didn't work. Chrome is crap.

I like Chrome. Uses "okay google" on my desktop and syncs everything nicely too. Firefox is my first preference only because I am more used to it but I am waffling.

Love the s pen and even more with what you can do on it with the note 4. Be hard to ever leave the note line for this reason.

You can just click the phone number in Safari and it starts dialing. :p

You can also put a phone app shortcut in your notification area using Power Toggles.

I get what you're trying to get at, but there are much quicker ways without the pen. There are some ways the pen works well as a power tool, but dialing numbers isn't one of them. You're better off selecting the number and then pasting it into the dialer.

The phone is not one of the multi windows apps is it?

Hmm, you might be right. I'm using an Xposed module so I can multi app anything including the dialer app, but without that I'm not sure if the dialer app is multi window capable out of the box.

I didn't realize that phone numbers could be pasted into the dialer, so thanks for that tip.

I use the spen window to draw up a calculator when I'm buying something online and want to so some calculations.
Before the action memo, I used to send my self texts or an email to keep notes about something. Now I just write it down in action memo.
