I just got my iMac G5 a few days ago, and was just about to start programming, when I found out I couldn't make the "{" or the one to the right.

How do I do this on a mac? :)

Thanks in advance!

Shift-[, at least on my keyboard. (the key to the right of the letter P). :)

Aww, my keyboard layout/mapping is Swedish. I don't have the [ (alt + 8) on my keyboard. :(

Thanks anyway! :)

Anyone know how to make the { on a Swedish keyboard?

EDIT: Figured it out :p

shift + alt + 8, thanks everyone!

In System Preferences, go to the International pane and select the Input Menu tab. Check "Character Palette" and quit System Preferences. Then you can use the Character Palette in your menu bar to select characters to insert anywhere you are typing. The open curly brace { is in the "Punctuation" section.
