Ok, so I loaded Ryan Cowan's Halloween theme, it loads the lock screen, wallpaper and sounds, but none of the icons show up and there are quite a few of them, I seem to be noticing this a lot with iOS 5.1.1

Wondering if a lot of themes here in Cydia are not 5.1.1 compatible, some say they are only for 4.1.x etc.

On winterboard, do you have "summerboard" turned on?

When I installed winterboard, a lot of the older themes werent working, until I turned summerboard on.

Take a look at it. The dev has been updating and tweaking it on a regular basis.

Still odd though most parts of the themes on Cydia work but the icons, anyone know how to get the icons to work with iOS 5.1.1

Okay so went over to modmyi forums and tried to find something related to why themes in cydia no longer work on my 4S running 5.1.1

I still do not understand what is different in 5.1.1 then what used to be on my iPhone 4 running 4.1.x

Themes go in the library from the root, and in there is the wallpapers, sounds folders, and icons as well as other items, why do the icons not show up when selected theme is picked in WinterBoard?

This is getting very frustrating, soon I will just buy and theme and tear it apart if that even works anymore?

With every firmware upgrade, Apple makes minor or major changes to things like icons sizes, resolutions and their file locations.

Tear a couple of theme packages apart and you will begin to understand how they work by over-riding the stock items in the Apple firmware.
