yes Ive got the same issue with Japanese writing too. My solution is not use it until Apple give a fix on it.

It's not a bug but definitely annoying.

Yes. This is very annoying and I just submitted a bug report. Hopefully they will fix this in DP7.

Slightly off topic, but how do you get to Japanese handwriting? I can only find Chinese.
