I think we may well see an update to the iphone OS in time for the tablet launch, enabling multitasking and a newly designed home screen just for the ipad

That Home Screen is probably going to have its own Preference Setting allowing icons to be squeezed together and allow more apps to fit in, and may also allow icon-scaling as in OSX.

It's like they just shoehorned in the Springboard of an iPhone onto a big device with no thought as to usability.

Why do you say 5 pages? If a new page is needed, a button will be created once you drag something to the 6th page. This image shows only 2 pages.

Any thought to changing your nic to iPad Aggie?
