i'm not getting any lyrics nor the space where lyrics should be, in pb3 i was getting a text saying "error downloading lyrics" or the lyrics in some songs but now in pb4 i'm not getting anything... i've tried several songs, but with no success.
Lyrics were present in other betas. It's not as if someone removed them from every song in Apple Music. I think you are misunderstanding the point. They just don't work in this beta - only the ones added by the user to iTunes. I'm sure they will be working come GM.Lyrics need to be added by someone.
I can see all my lyrics embedded into songs using iTunes. Apple Music must do the same to let you see lyrics.
Hmm, yeah. I don't use Apple Music so it is possible for me to misunderstand those things.Lyrics were present in other betas. It's not as if someone removed them from every song in Apple Music. The lyrics are copyrighted just like a book or like the song's music is copyright protected. So all lyrics are the intellectual property of the copyright holder. Any lyrics you see are ether licensed (rights paid or permission grated) or are illegal (bootleg).I've never understood this copyright / non-publication of lyrics thing. I can understand it with the tabs or music score but surely they like people singing along to their songs? Seems like it could only benefit artists to have their lyrics available in as many places as possible really.
But to do so, either you register a US account and sub Apple Music, or manage to get a USA credit card to switch.I assume the only way to enable it is to make your Apple Music account in the US (switch iTunes region). As it seems switching regions on the iOS device doesn't seem to work.
Add it yourself. This is all what I do.I've never understood this copyright / non-publication of lyrics thing. For AM it might be different though, as I never use AM before.

As far as what seems best or is best to the artist is immaterial to what seems logical. It is all about copyright law and what is in the contracts.
Apple WILL NOT bootleg lyrics.
Many performers don't write their lyrics (or music) and but buy/license them. So yes lyrics are the intellectual property of the copyright holder and are often sold. Also copyright is about laws that cover the material and is not correlated to profits, logic or motives.....The difference with lyrics compared to any other type of copyrighted material is that no one EVER buys just lyrics. There is no profit to be made from them, and by definition no material loss to the rights holders by any distribution of those lyrics....
Placing lyrics, someone's property, into an app enhances the monetary value of the app......
I can sit down and teach the lyrics to any song to a room of 100 people and there'd be no problem but put the lyrics in an app and all hell breaks loose.
.....
There may seem to be no practical "excuse" (and I agree) but since they are copyright protected EVERY single use must be licensed. Copyright as it name implies is to protect from copying. So it is very simple. If you take a licensed CD's liner notes and copy them to use in Music/iTines then you have violated copyright law.If the lyrics are already provided in the CD liner notes, or in PDF distributed with the purchased iTunes file (which is the case for many) then there really is no excuse for not making them available in the iOS music player.
