Thermal Sensor for HDD - polarity for black wiring

I have managed to pull the wires out of the Pico-EZmate SMT PCB receptacle for the HDD Thermal sensor. Then when I tried to remove the receptacle from the Molex PCB header, it was stuck (probably fused from extreme heat), the header came off the board. Anyhow I have ordered replacement header and receptacle to repair but have no idea of the polarity of the wiring for the thermal sensor, just two wires, both black. Anyone that can help ?

I will hazard a guess here:
2 wires, both black.
If polarity is important for the temp sensor, the wires would be different colors, or identified in some way - so, I suspect that it doesn't matter, as long as you don't connect the wires to the same pin, shorting the connection.
A black wire on one pin, and the other black wire on the other pin...

I agree with DeltaMac. Every thermal sensor I've seen is nothing but a resistor that varies resistance with temperature. They have no polarity.

But it's always better to ask than assume. In this case don't worry about it.

DeltaMac is spot on. Both wires are black and the polarity doesn't matter.
