Just in case anyone here is using "Things"....v 1.1 just hit the app store. Syncing with the desktop version is lighting fast. This is now hands down the best iPhone GTD app in the app store.
Does this integrate with iCal and AppleMail?
But dang, there's no Things PC version. It's driving me nuts the best Task apps only have Mac software to sync with.
Is there one I missed that does?
"ToDo" syncs with Toodledo and Remember The Milk
I vastly prefer Things to Omnifocus, both on the desktop and iPhone. Much simpler to use, much better sync mechanism.
.
I downloaded the desktop version and bought the iPhone version so at worst I am only £6 down but so far this seems to cover the points I want the desktop/mobile combination to cover. The syncing is very seemless, would be nice to have a way to manually refresh/force sync rather than relaunching the iPhone app but so far it seems quite impressive.
The syncing was such a breeze to set up, omnifocus really needs to change the way it does syncing.
will spend some more time with Things to see if it covers the more general points that I use.
How doe the sync for Things Touch work exactly? I'm assuming the iPhone and Mac have to be on the same WiFi network and then it uses some bonjour magic to partner & sync?
Correct.
I much prefer the sync to the cloud method with ToDo/Toodledo, it makes you wonder why there just isn't a Mac native client for Toodledo? Then I would be in GTD heaven! Although even now with the webapp I am quite liking the combo, it's a pity though as I like the looks of Things Touch, I'm just not a fan of the sync method as my home PC is a MacBookPro and I often don't have it hooked up at home to sync.
it does, go into settings (as in settings on the homescreen), then scroll down to things3. I would also like to see the home icon have he little red number circle displaying how many items are due today.
yesDoes the desktop app have the little red circle number, that says how many items are due today?
1. If there's a way to schedule recurring tasks, I can't find it.
