It's been just about one month with my Macbook Pro and I've spent plenty of time with it over this time. But some of things that surprised me were (some good and some bad):

~ The graphics run extremely well. I can run games on very high settings in Boot Camp. For a 128mb video card, it's very surprising. My old Dell Desktop with twice as much memory performs worse.

~The Magsafe Connector: I never knew there were clips that could pop out. I've seen them before, but I thought they didn't retract or close. Very simple idea but has a great function.

~ I've read the heat threads and problems on the forum with the CD MBP but I would think that Apple could fix that. My MBP runs very hot and I have to manually control the fans to lower the heat.

~The 802.11n draft wireless should be faster right?, but I don't see any difference between other laptops. However, it does detect more networks.

~The backlit keyboard works pretty well, but if the screen comes close enough on mine, the light from the screen can stop the keyboard from lighting up.

~It's super fast, more than I imagined. Even on Windows, disk cleanup and disk defragmentation runs very fast.

~It does grab attention. I brought mine to a New Year's party and everyone was talking about it. Even the girls.

~I love Front Row but sometimes it is VERY slow. Using the keyboard is a little bit faster but on average when I access sections, especially videos, it takes almost 30 seconds to move.

You forgot the "uneven lighting on the display resulting from Apple's poor choice of an LCD panel," which is why, after my month with it, I returned it and got all my $$$ back.

You really waited for a whole month?

I thought Apple's return policy was for only 10 days?

After a few months you'll be able to tell how hard the cpu is working by the speeds of the fan. I often go hmm the fans are running too fast what did i leave open?

and the wireless isn't really draft n. while it has the capabilities to do it, their are no mac drivers for it. also you'd need a draft n router that works with the chip set.

i think the return policy is 14 days.

So, you bought his computer for him? And then returned it? Weird story.

How were you able to get a full refund after 30 days?

I think he was referring to his own experience.

I think the point was that the poster stated that the OP left off an item, yet the topic of the thread was specifically the OP's experience.

i thought that the draft n wireless was only in the cd2s. Are you saying all the mbps and mbs have it?
