Things to do the 1st time you use your MBA

Hi,

Tomorrow is the first day I will use my MBA (very "Xmas Eve" type excitement ! )...

And the first time I use a Mac in 12 yrs !

Therefore I need advice from those who know: what are the things I have to do just after I have opened up the (beautiful) box ?

Two steps gathered from the different threads... What else ??

i would say first thing is to check to make sure everything is how it should be, i.e. no defects, no dead pixels, kb backlight good, etc. the basics.

switch 3 and 4 around. you could probably drain the battery while you do the updates. you could also plan to install other things like perian or flip4mac to help you play avi and wmv files.

i also love sizzling keys.
