This sounds like a trick question! #tinfoil

I use for color grading on raw images, not just retouching.
And I use it to 3D manipulation. (the puppet).

Bonus .. The content-fill 'magic remove item from picture' delete.

It's actually kinda cute... (in a weird sort of way...)
I <3 (heart, eh?) photoshop

(Floris apparently doesn't know about the hearts available in the symbols on macOS :D There's around 15 different hearts, I think)

I am old school IRC user. I prefer no graphics in my text :)
[and wish there was a forum setting to not convert them to images when I type them hehe]

How long does your list of words need to be?

Anyway, I think restricting yourself to only 2 words would potential limit your descriptions.
You may need to "photoshop" some entries, if they are more than 2 words. :)

Seems like a lot of descriptive "stuff" about Photoshop here.

You should be able to add to your list of one or two word descriptors from all that...

I apreciate the help, but from what i understand there is no one so far that actually is doing "serious" work with phorshop. Am i correct? :)

Is that sarcasm? I have been struggling with my sarcasm filter for the last few weeks, so thought I'd ask... :D
(You didn't actually ask for responses from "serious" users (whatever that might be), or even from casual users, as far as I can tell)

I did think you were asking for a list of words describing how photoshop can be used.
What can you get from this page?
There's a whole lot of words in those articles. Some of them should be useful for your project.
I hope you get decent money (or a good grade :D ) for the result.

I think what im looking for is the answer to the question "what can one do with Pshop?"
Possible answers: "Image Retouching", "Image processing" etc. Im looking for the rest of the words. :)

So, you're not going to look at any links, then? And just want other people to supply you with answers (that might be completely wrong, too)
OK, then, here:
cropping
resizing
scaling
rotating
applying filters
applying transformations, such as perspective or distortion, etc.
use multiple layers
adjust color blend and balance
brightness
contrast
focus/blur
create gradients
blend photo layers
(and plenty of other words, too, which I choose not to mention here)

there's all the others, like swap girlfriend to kitten face - or purple striped banana with buttons, etc.
Photoshop is all about creativity.
Try to come up with some of that on your own, too. :D

Delta i really appreciate the help, but these are words that derive from tools. The words i gave (Image Retouching/Processing) are words that are a result of what Photoshop tools can do. Catch my drift? ;-) I just cant come up with anything else :-(

But - -
Photoshop requires tools to do what it does - and that's some of the things those tools can do, which, in turn, is what Photoshop can do. (Catch MY drift? :D )
Of course, you haven't yet told us why you need to do more than just Image Retouching/Processing.
Image Retouching/Processing are some pretty broad areas. Some of the words that I offered go to more specific types of tools.
How can you separate what Photoshop can do, from what Photoshop's tools will do? Seems like the same things, just more detail (Isn't that what you want?)

Basically, I don't think I am "catching your drift", as you are not "drifting" enough information.
Can you, perhaps, share details about what your project entails, and what your goal is? (hint: a list of words is probably not your project goal, eh?) You know, something like "develop a lesson plan for a Photoshop course, entailing various techniques, and including a detailed list of tools that the student will show knowledge, and be able to describe the purpose of those tools, and perform hands-on practical use of those tools."
Now there's a goal you can sink your teeth into (and then you can manipulate that image, too :D )

Ok suppose i wanna do the following through Photoshop. How is each named?
1. Removing the brand logo of a tin can, to make it look generic?
2. Fixing the teeth of a fashion model because she looked ugly when smiled?
3. Add tiles on one of the walls on my shower
4. Change my cars colour, because im sick n tired of it!

really?
The result that you want to achieve depends on the process that you use.
Seems to me that you would use a form of layers on some of those, or simply a color change/shift

You obviously know how to use Photoshop.
So, just use a couple of words to describe the result (What you did, not the name of the photoshop tool)

So you just want someone to make up a list for you?
1. Removing logos/brand identification
2. I guess you are talking about touching up the teeth in a picture, and not the model :D
3. Changing details in pictures
4. Swap/edit colours (I recall that "colors" are not used in GB :D )

Aren't you making this too difficult? Don't you have access to ANY study materials, so you have to reinvent the wheel?
There's a LOT of photoshop training guides that can suggest all the words that you need to apply names to what you want to do - if you can't think of something suitable on your own.

I have the answer you're looking for: image manipulation. (Although generation is an answer as well, it is typically used for manipulation more)

Thats it!!! You certainly caught my drift, thanx. Do you have more words that can describe what one can do in photoshop?
