Well i think i got excited and bought fake/clone Note 3 over amazon yesterday, ive been looking for one locally with no luck (im in the caribbean) and already had to chargeback from ebay so gave amazon a try...

This is the link and the weird thing it shows a different seller now, no warranty i didnt care since it would be of no use to me.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F5PGBEE/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1396108093&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

Today i try to cancel but got email from amazon that its too late to cancel and that i can return or just reject the package, i use a forward company based in Miami so hopefully i can take care of this without the need to ship back from here.

And you never explained why you think you bought a fake. Before you claim fake all you need to do is verify the model and serial number with Samsung. ;)

It will arrive (if i let it arrive) on tuesday in my country; i dont know but for some reason today i woke up and have this feeling that this thing its clone version.

Googled for a bit and did not found case of people buying fake/clone on amazon, mostly ebay and local scams but still i worry.

Take receipt. If it turns out to be a clone / fake open a dispute with Amazon. If you don't get your money back that way, report it to your CC and they will do a charge back.

But from the listing I see no reason to believe you are buying a fake and further more if you Google for bad news on anything you will find an example.

Just take delivery and deal with it after rather than pre-guessing.

You have a feeling it is fake? Maybe you should let unicorns be unicorns and look at the product before messing with people that try to make a living selling things.

Agreed. There is no way of knowing for sure without taking delivery. Hope it works out for you, OP.

Don't throw it in the garbage.

If it does turn out to be a clone, just because its a fake doesn't mean its worthless, for the most part it will look and be much like an official model, so maybe give it to a relative or someone who could do with a phone.

I've seen videos on youtube of the clones and they seem better than some mid range handsets, so it would be a shame to bin it when someone could get enjoyment from it, regardless of it being a clone.

Pricey for something which is advertised without warranty - that is the only thing initially which would have made me avoid this one ...

In my case warranty or no warranty does not make a difference since were i live its not possible to take advantage of the service.

I know someone who bought a Mophie case from amazon and a few months later it messed up so they called Mophie customer service. Come to find out it was a fake so amazon payed off her amazon credit card balance which was a couple hundred dollars and gave her a new case.

Go to the Android Central Note 3 forums. There is a sticky at the top on how to tell if you purchased a fake Note 3.

Price on par. Just wondering why no warranty. Only thing I can think is it was modified, thus tripping Knox? Did you buy new or used?

I just noticed all the comments about being region locked. This may be of some concern.

That's not the point. If you don't get warranty that means it is either too old (+1 year) or blacklisted or fake or modified or damaged. Now assuming the former, it is too expensive for a device which is over a year old (as warranty is dealt with directly with Samsung and not the retailer).

Whether you can use it or not is irrelevant. I'd use it as indication how old the device is and if it is not older than a year then I'd question why there is no warranty on it (again, given it is dealt with directly with Samsung )

I actually worked for Samsung contact center and the warranty its in place by the date that you purchase the unit, if you call to setup for service and it shows out of warranty on the system the first thing the operator will ask you is when did you made the purchase, if less than a year you just need to provide the bill/reciept and they will update on the system :) if you cant provide well there is always the tier 2 service.

I understand that for you guys this might be expensive but here i will get charge hell of a lot more and 100% salvage unit unless i buy from my carrier wich sadly does not carry the Note line.

Yep just use any other USB charger, and enjoy :)

You got the exynos variation (octa core) rather than the western snapdragon variation.
