Think I skip 10.8 until 10.8.1

Let's see first what softwares are compatible, and ironing out first teething issues usually takes a few weeks.
 
It can't be anymore buggy than Lion, right? :p

I've upgraded and the only application that I use that isn't work 100% is Candybar, and that is far from an essential.

Every single one of my apps run perfectly fine. If you have important software that must work in Mountain Lion before you upgrade, check out this site: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

It's a compiled list of the compatibility status of most apps. Check to see if your important apps are compatible, and then upgrade.

10.8.1 might be weeks away. Why not just end the waiting and checking? Since Mountain Lion is really an incremental update, most apps have no difficulties.
 
I consider 10.8 to be like 10.7.6. It is very very stable, not perfect but it has to be the most stable release day version of OS X i've ever come across.

I just got my first mac last month and this is my first upgrade and i was pleasantly surprised with the process. It was pretty quick and at my login screen, i thought it didn't work only to find out it did! Performance seems to be a little better than Lion. The only thing i got to studder a little bit so far is iTunes (it always does anyways....). Happy camper right here.
 
If I wait until 10.8.1 to upgrade from Snow Leopard will I still be able to purchase the upgrade for $19?

I'm not familiar with OS X updates. Does every increase (10.8.x) require a $20 - $30 download?

If I buy 10.8.0 will the updates .1, .2, etc be free?

Each upgrade is $20. Be thankful you weren't a Mac user while 10.5.11 was around!! :eek:

Just kidding, 10.8.x upgrades are completely free.
