iPad Pro Think the Brydge Keyboard for the Pro's Will Damage them?

I know its not out yet, (mid spring) but i keep going back and forth with Ipads, and ive decided bending or not i just love the new pros so much, every time i go with a lesser model i feel like im missing out.

So here's my current line of thinking.

Im returning the standard version, and going with the pro 12.9 version next month, and when its out, i want to get the brydge keyboard for it.

I have the one for the standard version and played with it for a few days and its wonderful, shame it has to go back as it wont fit the pro i plan on buying.

My question is this...Im still debating getting the otterbox pro defender case or the brydge keyboard. Do you think the Keyboard itself will bend or damage the ipad?

I dont plan on removing it ever once its in the clamps, but i just want your thoughts and experences...

I have the 12.9 2018 and have pre-ordered the Brydge keyboard for it. I’ve only used the original Brydge keyboard for the iPad 2 & 3 and I liked that keyboard, so expect to like the newest version even more. I don’t have any experience beyond that. I am not sure if opening the iPad with Brydge attached will be enough pressure to cause the iPad to bend or not. The thought has occurred to me to take care when opening it, at least initially, until I am sure it’s not an issue. I do plan on attaching and detaching my iPad from the keyboard regularly, I don’t think that part will be a problem, but I will take care opening the lid with it attached.

There are a handful of reports of the colors/brightness of the screen being distorted by the clips on the Brydge keyboard. I don't know how much weight I'd place on those anecdotes, but I wouldn't consider the Brydge simply because it will ruin the matte screen protectors I put on my iPads.

I’ve confidence it won’t - that would surely be one of the must-have product features. Otherwise, they’re going to end up with a lot of unhappy users and profits going down the tube.

I had a similar keyboard on an ipad mini 2 and it cracked the tempered glass screen protector because it was too tight of a fit (where the clips hold on to the ipad)

I think most keyboard/case manufacturers make their products to fit the actual iPad dimensions. There’s really no way any company could guarantee fit for “all” screen protectors unless they make their own. Expecting something to fit with an aftermarket accessory added to it may be a little to much to expect.

I don’t work for Brydge or represent them in any way. However, they’ve been around a long while now. I suspect they would have gone out of business if they were producing keyboards that damaged iPads. Thw function row and backlit keys are features I was hoping Apple would add to their keyboard folio.

I have had two cracked screens on this iPad, I replaced the screen myself last time because I was broke. I know that these latest cracks are from the Brydge pro V 1.1’s clips. I’m so disappointed. I have emailed Brydge and will try and get compensation from them. Surely they can help me out.
