Hello all!

Some days ago I've decided to purchase an iPad, but those are really hard to find right now, and so I've asked a friend of mine to buy me a refurbished iPad Pro 11 (2020). I've got to take photos in order to scan historical documents, and I don't want to do it with my iPhone (the battery of tablets are way better). I was pretty dumb: I've ordered accessories firstly, and then I've realized that no iPad were in stores (I've to deliver them to Amazon).

So, my question is: should I maintain the iPad Pro 11 to edit and store those pdfs (and some images)? Or is that mission an overkill? I'm thinking that 64 GB may be tight, but I might me panicking.

This chip shortage and delivery crisis happened in the worst scenario for me, so your thoughts will be very useful. I'll need those good photos in this December/January next year, but 650 euros could be a bad investment for my purposes.

Thank you.

I use PDF Pro, complete does it all and as for storage I store everything in the cloud using the files app so storage space is there.

Does anyone know of a powerful PDF editor without subscription model? Looks like both PDF Pro as well as my favourite from back in the day, PDF Expert by Readdle charge subscription models these days.

Apple, where the hell is the Preview App from macOS? Why hasn’t that been ported?

I use Foxit pdf reader (free) on Windows -- appears they have an Apple product.

They also have a paid Editor version.

And which iPad would you recommend?

I use a 2018 11" iPad Pro for note taking and reviewing PDFs. Occasionally I wish I had the 13", but for 95% of things the 11" is perfect for me. You can also pick up a used one (or an older one, you don't need an M1 to edit PDFs) and you'll save a ton of money. Look at Swappa, there are deals to be had.

Thank you.
As I said, I’ve picked the iPP 2020, which seems better enough to do the job. Also, I’ve bought refurbished, for 549 pounds (650 euros) it was a great deal, but isn’t it an overkill?

Ah, sorry, must have missed that.
